Q:
I quit the M4uManager but I still see a BServer console application, should I close this too?
-
A:
The BServer.exe application manages the communications between multiple running applications and the cameras. It will not take significant system resources while the cameras are not being used. But if closed when cameras are not being used it will be re-launched automatically when needed again.
-
Q:
After installing the camera drivers I see an icon for the OptiTrack License Tool on my desktop. Should I run this?
-
A:
No. Unless you have purchased another application directly from Naturalpoint you may remove this.
-
Q:
What's the difference between the beta drivers and the current release?
-
A:
The Beta drivers are non-supported.
-
Q:
Only one tab shows in the M4U manager. Where are the rest of the tabs?
-
A:
Ensure your license is installed and your camera(s) connected. Remember to install the camera drivers before connecting hardware to your system.
-
Q:
A terminal window opens when using Xaelander. Is this required to run Xaelander or can I close this?
-
A:
Yes, it is absolutely necessary for the suite to operate. Although a daemon will be forthcoming in the future, the Xaelander suite currently operates in terminal mode.
-
Q:
I'm getting a lot of noise. How can I clear this up?
-
A:
Glass tables may cause this. Also, the fewer ambient-infrared sources (such as sunlight), the more accurate your readings should become.
-
Q:
Do I have to manually launch the server window before using Xaelander?
-
A:
No. If the server is not already running, Xaelander will automatically re-launch whenever it's needed by an application.
-
Q:
How can I check if my cameras are on?
-
A:
Check if the LED's on the camera turn on when you run the M4U Manager and click on the Test tab. (the PRO bundle cameras will display either of the numbers 1 or 2 when they are on)
